Here are easy ways to boost your intake of fruits and vegetables. They are the most important part of your diet.

  • Add berries or banana to cereal or oatmeal.
  • Mix raisins with nuts and dark chocolate for a snack.
  • Make potatoes or sweet potatoes ahead of time and bring for lunch. There are microwaveable potatoes available, too. Eat with a salad with veggies and your choice of protein.
  • Eat a vegetable at dinner every night. Try to choose fresh or frozen.
  • Buy grape tomatoes and eat as an easy snack.
  • Eat carrot sticks for a snack, eat with dip if you wish.
  • Choose the salad bar for lunch. Choose vegetables that count such as peppers, tomatoes, beets, carrots, mushrooms, onion, cauliflower, broccoli and fruit.
