Armenian boregs

Ingredients:

1 lb. brick cheese (this is difficult to find) use havarti if you cannot find

2 tablespoons fresh parsley

1 beaten egg

salt & pepper

1 pkg puffed pastry

  • Thaw puffed pastry ( as directed on package)
  • Chop parsley
  • Grate cheese
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  • In bowl, mix cheese, parsley, egg and salt & pepper to taste
  • Cut each pastry sheets in halves (long wise down the middle), then cut each strip into three sections
  • Add small amount of mixture to each square
  • Fold over into a triangle and pinch with fingers
  • Place on baking sheet, bake 20-25 minutes until golden

Great hit at a party! Also, try a little bit of honey to these for a sweeter version.
