overnight eggnog french toast

Ingredients:

4 large eggs

2 cups eggnog

1/2 cup rum

2 tablespoons sugar

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

pinch of salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 loaf of French bread, cut into 1 inch slices

Directions:

Beat together eggs, eggnog, rum, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt and vanilla. Dip both sides of each slice of bread in mixture and place side by side on large cookie sheets. Cover and freeze overnight.

Before baking the next morning, let thaw a little bit until sheets are not so cold. Bake in a 450 degree oven for 20-25 minutes, making sure bottoms do not get too brown. Serve with maple syrup or powdered sugar/spiced sugar.
