Ingredients:
2 small packages small, white button mushrooms
butter
onion, chopped
1 clove garlic
sweet marsala or port wine
- Clean mushrooms, remove stems (twist gently)
- Melt butter over medium into medium sauce pan
- Add minced garlic and chopped onion
- Add mushrooms, saute 2 minutes
- Add wine until mushrooms are covered
- Simmer for at least a half hour
- Sometimes I add a little raw sugar
Vegan version, no butter but use olive oil or soy margarine
